Allegro was a community production produced by Mainstreet Community Theatre. Over an eight-month period, professional theatre practitioners worked with various community groups, including Primary Schools and residents and staff at Boandik Lodge Aged Care. The outcome was Allegro, a play exploring the span of life from the perspective of the very young and the elderly. A joyous and touching narrative, featuring tap dancing and original songs, Allegro was performed by a cast of 110 performers, ranging in age from 4—84.
